I have seen his show on the Venezuelan channel on cable just a little bit. It's torture how Venezuelans have this man conducting his own show (Alo Presidente- or Hello President) copying a show already in existence in Venezuela (Alo Ciudadano- Hello Citizen) geared to confronting the problems of the Venezuelan people and offering solutions. The man has a show of several hours speaking continues nonsense to the country. And regardless of what the students have done to prohibit control of the universities and others alike, Chavez has managed to sway those that didnt have anything and settled for so little.
Unfortunately many believe promises at the beginning and then when they finally see the light it tends to be too late. May Venezuela survive, because Chavez is going nowhere. Not now, and not in 2012.
This is emminent when the elections were held for governors and mayors winning in high numbers against Chavez's party and people were kidnapped, thus Hugo Chavez's party trying to stop any progress from the opposition. Regardless of the fact that these posts do not control the government and only serve to provide better services and things for the people.
One will just have to wait and see where everything ends. Although oil is still a very hot commodity for Chavez, money those eventually run out if you keep spending and spending trying to buy allies and friends and not help your country that has so much to produce and yet
is becoming more restless and angry as the days pass by.

Okay my question to you is, are the people of Venezuela really fed up with their goverment? It is not hard to over throw goverment lives have been sacrificed since the start of goverment to do just that. People are always willing to die for what they believe. So are the Venezuelans with or against Chavez, what do the "MAJORITY" want? And if they want him? Why should we worry unless he is a direct threat to us, and I mean a direct threat, not just the crap he likes to talk and ramble on about...
Funny your very comment. If the people don't want him or the majority is against him wouldn't it be easy to overthrow him? I remember talking to some Venezuelans In Miami who believed that what happened in Cuba would never happened to them because they have borders. Students have rebelled for days fighting to keep the universities free of cotrol by the government. HAve walked in peace to convey their protest to the national assembly and were not permitted to pass thru. Many were imprisoned without eating for hours, medication needed or their parents knowing how they were. We say if.it doesn't affect us why worry? But it does affect us. When one person wants to show the world how great things are. Thank God for the brave women and men of the media who risk their lives for the truth. Remember there is no greater evil than that which we choose not to see. As someone who loves this country as I had the pleasure of visiting many times. It will be a hard battle to fight that only GOd knows the outcome.
